Terms of Service

How estimates, permits, scheduling and workmanship work when you hire us — and what the information on this site is and is not.

About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and the services provided by Perfect Service Plumbing and Septic, 4491 Palomino Dr, Ooltewah, TN 37363-7078. By using this site or requesting service, you agree to them.

Information on this site

The guidance published on this site — including the blog articles and the service pages — is general information for homeowners in southeast Tennessee. It is written from real field experience, but every property is different.

Nothing on this site is a diagnosis of your specific system. Septic and plumbing conditions vary by soil, age, installation quality, and use, and the only reliable way to know what is happening at your property is for someone to look at it.

Do not delay professional help for an active emergency — a burst pipe, a sewage backup, a gas smell, or a septic alarm — in order to work through an article.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free. We provide a written price before any work begins, and you approve it before we start.

Any cost ranges discussed on this site are illustrative and are not a quote. Where we describe what affects pricing, that is exactly what it is — the variables, not a number.

An estimate covers the work described in it. If we open a wall, a slab, or a septic tank and find a condition that was not visible beforehand, we will stop, show you what we found, and quote that separately before continuing.

Scheduling and response times

We give realistic scheduling windows rather than optimistic ones. Emergency calls — active flooding, sewage backups, no water — are prioritized ahead of routine work.

Weather, ground conditions, permit timelines, and county inspection availability can all affect scheduling, particularly for septic installation and drain field work. We will tell you when something is outside our control.

After-hours, weekend, and holiday calls are charged at a higher rate than scheduled service. We state that rate on the phone before dispatching.

Permits and inspections

Septic installation, replacement, and field repair require approval from the State of Tennessee and the relevant county. So do certain plumbing and gas works, including water heater replacement and gas piping.

Where a permit is required for work we perform, we pull it and coordinate the inspection. Permit and inspection fees are pass-through costs and are itemized separately on your estimate.

We do not perform permitted work without a permit, regardless of how the request is framed.

Workmanship

We stand behind our labor. If something we installed or repaired fails because of how we did it, we will come back and put it right.

Manufacturer warranties on equipment — water heaters, pumps, softeners, tanks — are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to their terms, which frequently require documented maintenance. We will tell you what a given warranty requires.

We cannot warrant fixtures or equipment supplied by the customer, though we are happy to install them.

Existing conditions

On older properties we sometimes find conditions that no inspection would have revealed in advance: pipe that crumbles when disturbed, an undocumented septic component, or a previous repair done incorrectly.

We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or for damage arising from them, but we will always show you what we found and explain the options before doing anything further.

Website content

The text, photographs, and layout on this site belong to us and may not be copied or republished without permission.

We link to external sites — Google Maps, our Google Business Profile — where it is useful. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we do not operate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Tennessee law, our liability for any claim relating to work we performed is limited to the amount paid for that work.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use or loss of income, arising from a plumbing or septic failure.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
